After serving his country in the United States Marine Corps, Dave moved back to Pennsylvania and began what would become a long and extensive career in the construction of residential homes and commercial businesses. Dave would continue to do this for 23 years before he and his wife Julie decided to move south in the year following Katrina to help in the rebuilding of New Orleans. As the movement to build “Green” energy-efficient homes progressed, Dave became well-educated in the Solar and Wind Turbine Installation process.
In 2010, Dave joined the team at Comfort Engineered Systems, Inc. Seeing the expertise, the standards, and the work ethics to which Dave holds himself, the company soon promoted him to Solar Installation Supervisor. Sammy Cucurullo

Sammy Cucurullo started in the construction industry while still in high school. He obtained his plumbing license and worked on the Port Gibson nuclear power plant and was involved in early construction of Stennis Space Center. From there his career path went in a different direction taking him into the world of Insurance and Finance. He was an innovator in the group health insurance market for Physicians Mutual Insurance Company. He was awarded producer of the year several times and has been recognized at the PMIC Million Dollar Roundtable. Sammy then transitioned into long term care insurance and secured national endorsements from global manufacturing companies like Genesco and Johnston & Murphy. He also worked with the American Federation of Teachers making these retirees the first to be offered “group” long term care benefits in the country. Feeling an itch to do something different he then decided to return to the construction industry. After obtaining his Tennessee HVAC contractor’s license he has worked in the commercial field for the past 15 years servicing large national accounts. Sammy had a passion for Home Energy Solutions and is currently working in the energy conservation market doing high performance A/C tune-ups which uses digital recording equipment and requires using I pads and uploading the data for a full engineering analysis, performing Duct Sealing and Blower Door testing which are also done with digital pressurization equipment that has to be properly analyzed for making energy saving modifications to the home.

Sammy has received his certification in Infiltration and Duct Leakage Testing (IDL) and is certified as a Building Performance Institute (BPI) as a Building Envelope and Building Analyst Professional as well as carrying North American Technician Excellence (NATE) in Air Conditioning Service and Air Conditioning Installation as well as carrying his universal EPA certifications to handle all refrigerants. Gary Grundmeyer

Gary has over 20 years in the HVAC and Refrigeration Industry. The day Gary was born he had a natural inquisitiveness to mechanical machines. He began his career in the Maintenance Department of the Jewish Community Center. There he worked on the HVAC equipment, pool equipment, cooling towers and large air handlers. To further his career in the HVAC field, he left the Community Center and accepted a position with Central Air, Inc. where he installed commercial duct and heating and cooling equipment. This company was owned by Kenny Ripberger who proved to be an excellent teacher. To show you how good Kenny became, he now is an ESCO Certified Master HVAC Educator and Dept. Chair at Delgado Community College. The difference between most in the HVAC field and Gary was that Gary wasn’t working on “seat of the pants” or word of mouth beliefs. He had gained useful technical skills and the appropriate processes to work from. Through the years this gave Gary a strong base to gain further knowledge and know if it was fictional word of mouth information or technically accurate information that would benefit the customer and the organization. Gary took classes and received numerous certifications through Carrier, Trane, Rheem and many more. Gary is not in love with class work or testing but he is in firm belief of final outcome that is all performance based.

When the Central Air, Inc merged with Commercial Equipment, Inc., Gary got into the refrigeration side of the business where he worked on walk-in coolers, reach-in coolers, ice machines, etc. and this gave him additional technical experience to draw from. When a group of employees of Commercial Equipment Services, Inc. decided to move to Comfort Engineered Systems, Inc., Gary decided that it was a good fit as they followed the same requirement to work with technically accurate information when designing and installing HVAC equipment and that fit Gary’s mind set to perform the very best work using the best science. This has allowed Gary to excel in the company to become a HVAC Supervisor where he loves working alongside his guys instructing to make sure the final product is to the expectations of his customers. Gary has further excelled. When he was asked to install and operate the latest equipment such as Variable speed compressor systems, zoning packages and big Unitary package units with VFD drives he rose to the challenge to make sure his staff handled the details and make sure that the equipment performed flawlessly. Gary and his staff can take credit for the lowest overall warranty call back rate probably in the industry and that is all attributable to Gary sticking with sound technical processes.
